Keltbray has opened a new office in Nottingham for its growing Highways Division.
Last year the engineering firm secured its first major Highways contract with a £14.1m package to deliver 14 bridge structures on A30 Chiverton to Carland Cross Scheme for the Costain Jacobs joint venture on behalf of National Highways.
It then further expanded its Highways Division through the acquisition of nmcn’s infrastructure assets and contracts as the nmcn group fell into administration, saving 117 jobs in the process.
This secured the continuation of ongoing projects such as the M621 Junction 1 to 7 Improvements; the Upper Don Flood Alleviation Scheme; the Market Gate Pedestrian Bridge; the College Street Redevelopment; and the Dogger Bank A Converter Station.
Vip Gandhi, managing director for Keltbray’s Highways Division, said: ‘We’re delighted to officially announce the opening of our new Nottingham office for the Highways division.
‘Keltbray Highways offers a blend of project experience across both the Highways and Renewables markets.
'We provide high-quality infrastructure projects helping to keep the country moving, with major projects such as motorway junction improvements, urban realm regeneration schemes and renewable energy infrastructure, and we’re looking forward to expanding our offering.’
Keltbray is also one of four delivery partners for the £1bn A66 transpennine upgrade and in April appointed Tim Barber as project director for the Highways Division with responsibility for that scheme.
The new office is effectively the headquarters for the Highways Division, although the company's head office remains in Esher, Surrey.
