Multevo has been awarded a £38m 'managed service for surfacing and potholes' contract by Lancashire County Council.
The contract will run for a two year period, with the possibility of a two-year extension, and will see Mutevo manage road repairs for the county, including any pothole repair or resurfacing works.
Lancashire CC awarded this contract without a public call for competition, instead choosing to proceed with Multevo following the outcome of a Further Competition via the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Dynamic Purchasing System.
The council said it was 'looking to introduce an innovative process for a collaborative model to maintain the highway network countywide', with the use and development of new material solutions.
'The goal is to ensure permanent road repairs that extend asset life and address surface safety issues.'
The contract was awarded on an 80 quality 20 price split.
