Salford City Council has awarded 19 contractors a place on a £40m framework.

Covering six lots, the technical services framework covers a three year period, plus a further year subject to annual review.

Throughout all the lots, the tender was judged on quality (30%), price (50%) and social value (20%).

A report on the procurement said: 'Social Value has been increased to 20% to give SCC an opportunity to utilise the Social Value Portal’s (SVP) expertise and maximise the benefits to the community, local supply chain and environment. The price and quality elements were evaluated by the service area with the SVP assessing the Social Value.'
