There have been £1.9m of road improvement schemes approved by the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) in Northern Ireland over the past month.
The largest project was the £737,000 scheme for Hillhead Road in Ballyclare, which will see 1.8km of resurfacing work scheduled to be completed between 11 June and 11 July.
Infrastructure minister Liz Kimmins said: ‘This is a substantial investment for the Ballyclare area which will deliver significant benefits for residents and road users.’
Following closely behind was the A29 Armagh Road scheme in Keady, which received £590,000 for two sections of resurfacing totalling 1,550 metres. This work is planned to take place between 9 June and 4 July.
And Ms Kimmins also announced that a A29 Greenmount Roundabout scheme in Coleraine would receive £388,000, as well as £250,000 for the Ardmore Road scheme in Newry. Both projects are expected to run between 16 June and 4 July.
