Brightly Software has been awarded an £8m contract covering Operational Asset Works Management Systems (OAWMS) at National Highways.
The contract is expected to be signed by 25 June and will run until 24 June 2028, with a possible extension to 24 June 2029.
The OAWMS help to facilitate National Highways’ operations including road safety. National Highways said the service was ‘deeply integrated with various interfacing systems’ and serves as ‘a linchpin for data exchange and operational processes’.
The national operator said it expects a standstill period of eight days, ending on the 24 June, as it transitions between the previous and new suppliers.
