Bristol City Council has assigned 27 suppliers places on a £288m four-year highway asset management and civils framework.
The framework is split into 10 lots and will run from October 2025 until September 2029.
There is an estimated upper limit on the spending available for each of the lots – these vary in value from £2m to £145m, with the majority of successful contractors assigned to multiple lots.
The lot with the highest limit is number six, which has six assigned contractors – Cambrensis Civil Engineering, ETM Contractors, MJ Church (Plant), Octavius Infrastructure, Taylor Woodrow Infrastructure, and Walters U.K..
This lost covers highway civil engineering works over £500,000 and other specialist works.
When questioned by Highways about a disceprancy in the spending tally, Bristol confirmed an error in Lot 10, which should read £800,000 not £80m as an upper spending limit. The council has since published a correction.
