Galliford Try appoints new highways operations director

Galliford Try Highways has appointed an operations director with a specific brief over its work with Highways England.

The news comes after the company won places on two of the government-owned company's Regional Delivery Partnership frameworks - part of a total £8.7bn worth of work.

Nick Culshaw (pictured) has been appointed operations director after he previously held a similar role with Volker Stevin. He will succeed Bryan Kennedy who has chosen to leave the company at the end of January.

Duncan Elliott, managing director of Galliford Try Highways, said: 'Our business has grown at a phenomenal pace following recent bidding successes. Nick’s appointment will support further growth and strong business performance.'

Galliford Try won places on the regional delivery programme in:

Lot 4 – South West - £800m - two partners: Galliford Try Infrastructure Ltd; and Taylor Woodrow

Lot 7 – East - £2,800m - three partners: Costain Ltd; Galliford Try Infrastructure Ltd; and Skanska Construction UK Ltd
