JLUK to carry out skid resistance testing

Technical consultancy Jean Lefebvre (UK) will be able to carry skid resistance testing on road surfaces after achieving UKAS accreditation.

The consultancy has achieved accreditation to BS 7941-2:2000 and will use Findlay Irvine’s GripTester MK2 to carry out the tests.

This accreditation is formal recognition by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) of Jean Lefebvre’s technical and organisational competence to carry out GripTester surveys conforming to the British Standards.

For roads and pavements, the GripTester offers an opportunity to measure continuous skid resistance for all classifications of roads.
