Mott MacDonald wins £2.5m TSS contract

Mott MacDonald has been appointed by Highways England on the £2.5 million Technology Software Systems (TSS) contract TMT054.

The consultancy will work with sub-contractors Simulation Systems Limited (SSL), following the partnership’s successful delivery of the original TMT016 TSS contract.

As part of the Crown Commercial Service’s RM869 traffic management technology framework, the TSS contract will continue to provide a range of flexible and specialist support services for Highways England’s traffic management system technologies, supporting regional control centres across England. The project reflects Highways England’s vision of embracing technology, improving safety and exploring greener modes of transport to deliver an intelligent network of major roads that is open to all.

The TSS contract will continue to support Highways England in achieving greater services for its traffic management systems, including an intelligent communications network and remote access services, allowing their suppliers to maintain essential operational equipment. TSS also enables the successful release of site data to regional control centres and supports Highways England in achieving more consistent site data designs for new schemes.
