Highways England has taken its award-winning motorcycle safety campaign to Silverstone to highlight the importance of wearing the right kit.
Motor-racing twins Kurt and Matt Wigley took time out from the Superbikes event at Silverstone to promote the safety message.

The ‘Distressed’ campaign warns of the dangers of not wearing appropriate protective clothing.
Kurt Wigley, who has been racing since he was six years old, said: ‘Unfortunately it is not until people come off and hurt themselves that they really appreciate that. Nobody thinks it will happen to them.’
Highways England’s head of road safety, Richard Leonard, said: ‘Most motorcyclists, particularly young riders, know they are one of the most vulnerable group of road users and Kurt and Matt’s expertise is respected and appreciated.’
The Distressed campaign recently scooped the ‘Best Content Marketing Campaign’ award at the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Marketing Excellence Awards 2019.
It features a fashion range, and price tags, which, instead of showing the cost of the clothing, show a range of serious injuries a biker could suffer if they are not wearing the right gear.
