Operational gangs from Ringway Jacobs feature heavily in a new television series about highway maintenance and management entitled ‘Stop! Roadworks Ahead.’
The first of the six, one hour episodes will be shown on Monday 13 July, at 8pm on Channel 5, with the series featuring the work of Cheshire East Highways, Essex Highways and Transport for Buckinghamshire.
The programmes feature every aspect of the service Ringway Jacobs delivers, from winter maintenance and potholes to planning and design, and follows operational staff as they go about their daily roles of managing and maintaining the roads they are responsible for.
Managing director Mike Notman said: “This programme has given us a great opportunity to shine the spotlight on all the excellent work we deliver in Cheshire East, Essex and Buckinghamshire and to raise the profile of the industry with the public. It has allowed us to build upon our strong reputation for being innovative, forward thinking and committed to delivery and to highlight the various issues we face every day, such as the safety of our workforce.”
The first episode features Essex Highway’s project on the Army and Navy roundabout in Chelmsford. For a weekly synopsis of each episode, visit www.ringwayjacobs.com/updates.
