The Highways Agency is searching for firms to handle temporary traffic management on Britain’s highways.
The deal, which is expected to be worth up to £560m over the next four years, has been broken up into a dozen separate packages, which main contractors will be expected to use when carrying out maintenance and road works.
This will cover the main regions like Scotland and the North, the Midlands and Wales, and agency’s southern and eastern regions.
The huge management framework will also be subdivided into separate deals covering the country’s motorways and highways..
The agency expects up to sign up around 50 firms for the job and has given interested firms until 21 December to complete PQQs.
