Industrial machine developer and innovator, VITRONIC has been awarded with the delivery, installation and maintenance of over 500 systems in Morocco.
The systems will be for speed and red light enforcement with software for the processing center, and is part of a national strategy for traffic safety in the region.
VITRONIC as a group will implement the project with its local partner, Alomra Group International.
The laser systems will be deployed in twelve country regions and their metropolises such as Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakesh for fixed speed enforcement, average speed enforcement and the monitoring of traffic light intersections.
VITRONIC says that it will install the superior housing platform, COMPACT CITY
HOUSING, throughout the country on a large scale. The solution will aim to enforce traffic from an elevated position up to three meters in height.
According to officially shared information, Morocco wants to reduce the number of traffic accidents by 50% by 2026.
Youssef El Hansali, Chief Executive Officer Subsidiary MENA of VITRONIC said, ‘We are very pleased that our systems will contribute significantly to the country’s national traffic safety strategy.’
The project began at the beginning of January 2019, with the goal of rolling out all traffic monitoring systems within two years.
