Advanced modelling solutions vital for city planners - audio

The transport modelling firm Transport Simulation Systems - TSS - says it's seeing a growing demand for its multi-layer solution.

They software amalgamates what used to be different modelling systems for different uses, such as real-time demand management alongside long term prediction.

"Now there is an acknowledgement that all these things are related together," said Executive Director Alexadre Torday in an interview with Smart Highways editor Paul Hutton at the ITS World Congress in Bordeaux.  "We are talking about the same transportation network, so more and more people want to have these all included in the same analysis tool," he added.

"We have been working on a multi-tier integrated platform," he continues, which he says provides a "city wide unique databases for modelling."
