Amey has announced that Andy Denman will be joining the company as its new highways sector director in May.
Mr Denman (pictured) will have responsibility for Amey’s local and strategic highways operations and will be part of the its Transport Infrastructure executive team.
For the past five years, he was operations director at Ringway Jacobs, leading a portfolio of local authority contracts.
He created a single operational leadership team overseeing over 1,300 employees.
Peter Anderson, managing director of transport infrastructure, said: ‘I’m delighted Andy is joining Amey and my executive team, to drive the growth of the Transport Infrastructure business.
‘We have an ambitious plan for the future to secure profitable growth, while maximising the combined knowledge across the business unit to deliver leading solutions for our clients and customers.’

With 25 years' experience in the highways industry, Mr Denman has worked with local authority clients, as well as strategic highways clients such as Highways England.
He spent his early career at Carillion, progressing to contracts director, followed by business director roles at Skanska, including running the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough highways services contract.
