EEH releases major road network bids totalling £720m

29/07/2019 | DOMINIC BROWNE

England's Economic Heartland (EEH) has released its final list of scheme bids for the first five-year programme (2020-2025) of the major road network (MRN).

Sub-national transport bodies were tasked with producing a lit of 10 priority schemes for the fund by this summer. EEH has outlined 11, although two of the schemes appear related as they are both on the A10 Ely to Cambridge.

The Government has allocated £3.5bn for 2020-2025 to pay for the new major roads network and large local major roads schemes together.

EEH's total bid programme comes in at £718.44m.
