FM Conway has bolstered its senior team with the addition of operations director Martin Barrow-Starkey.
Mr Barrow-Starkey (pictured) joins the company's aggregates and asphalt senior leadership team to support the strategic and operational development of the division and will manage FM Conway's suite of seven asphalt plants across the business.
His experience is centred within engineering, having become a chartered electrical engineer and spent 12 years working in the rail industry, before moving into broader senior management roles.
He previously worked at Volkswagen Group where he was the head of group fleet services and held a directorship for the services and facilities company, Carillion.
Also, Tim Metcalf has taken on the role of FM Conway's development director and will head up all major aggregates and asphalt projects, capital investments and further development works.
Mr Metcalfe is responsible for driving innovations, supporting key procurement frameworks and pushing product developments and technical abilities.
Joanne Garwood, aggregates and asphalt managing director at FM Conway, commented: 'For 60 years, FM Conway has been a market leader in delivering highways services across London and the South of England.
'Martin’s appointment and Tim’s role strengthens the specialist manufacturing expertise we have within the business and our ability to provide quality services for clients across the full lifecycle of their highway assets.'
