The new Nodum app will allow civil engineers to programme road closures in order to maximise traffic flow, minimise errors and coordinate the operation with traffic managers and the Department of Transport.
Point-and-click route designer with Google Map integration will also aim to make it simpler to manage and view traffic rerouting, conflicts, and schedule road interventions, so traffic is quickly restored to its normal flow.
The new app uses a “Software as a Service” model so that the project manager can specify all the information needed for a road project that demands traffic detouring and communicating with all parties.
Nodum said its aim is to contain, in a single app, all the information, maps, plans and documentation needed for road intervention projects and effectively communicating with the Department of Transportation, local authorities, and team members in a seamless way.
