New name for Smart CCTV

The Value Added Reseller Smart CCTV Ltd is re-naming and re-branding to become Smart Video and Sensing Ltd, or SVS.

Smart CCTV, which represents a number of companies in the UK including Citilog, BLIP Systems, Tattile, and Qvision Technology was founded in November 2001.  The company says the name change is part of a re-branding initiative to better align the Company's name with its future strategy and current product roadmap.

Managing Director, Peter Eccleson, believes that the old name did not reflect the wider product offering of the business, 'The name Smart CCTV didn't fully define the large amount of product expertise the Company offers,' he explains.  'Our product portfolio offers a full spectrum of solutions from sensors to software applications not just CCTV so we can deliver the most cost effective and the best technical solution to each of our customers.'

As well as surveys, the Company, which will commonly be known as SVS, provides applications on the UK road, rail, airport and canal networks and is also involved in site access control and security.  It has been involved in delivering a number of video incident detection, ANPR, CCTV, laser scanning and RF sensing solutions to provide traffic data and management information enabling appropriate responses to improve road and rail traffic management.

Clients include Government Agencies, Local Government, Major Engineering Consultancies and Security companies.

SVS says its associates and customers have welcomed the change as it reflects the steady growth of the Company over previous years and its strategy for continued expansion going forward.
