An international line marking specialist has hailed the switch from paper to a digital field management system, stating that it helps workflow and gives increased protection against any missed work or out of date plans.
Quality Marking Services (QMS) found the Re-flow system meant any missed works ‘are identified within 24 hours and can be rectified straight away, causing no delay to the invoice process’.
It also highlighted that operatives always have access to the most up to date drawings and information greatly reducing the risk of costly remedials.
Teams on-site login to an app on their mobile devices and can view job details and complete project task lists and forms.
The software, which even works offline where there isn’t an internet connection, means job specifications can be sent through a dashboard.
Greg Clark at QMS said: ‘The implementation of the mobile app has quite simply revolutionised how we operate as a business. The seamless transition of information from our own in-house database to the app for the on-site crews is excellent and the functionality of the app and the dashboard control firmly places a tick in every box.’
The company said Re-Flow also creates an improved and more efficient administration process, reducing the time between completion of work to submission of invoice and helping staff submit their times sheets, holiday requests, absence self-certification and personal protective equipment (PPE) requests.
Re-flow was designed and developed by Reactor15 Ltd, a digital development agency based in Exeter, Devon.
Managing director Michael Saunders said: ‘We have been working with a number of well know organisations in road maintenance and civil engineering for a few years already and their needs and requirements have driven development of the software.’
