Skanska wants people with technical and design skills to join its growing highways team in Bristol.
The company is holding a recruitment event in Cardiff on 3 March. There are opportunities for engineers, designers and project managers in Bristol, with some occasional working at a hot desk in an office in Bridgend.
The recruitment event in Cardiff is for Skanska’s Highways Agency Area 2 asset support contract, which covers Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Dorset and Somerset.
Skanska is responsible for two Highways Agency contracts, as well as local authority contracts in Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The contract teams provide design, delivery and maintenance for our clients.
The firm is looking for people with skills in a range of disciplines, but particularly pavement and structures design, and highway drainage and geotechnical engineering. The company will also consider those with the right skills from outside of the highways industry.
Don Gordon, contract director for Skanska, said: “As a big player in the highways maintenance market, we have seen the size of schemes and workload growing. We have some interesting opportunities for designers and project managers that they may not find elsewhere because design and delivery are fully integrated in our contracts. We are looking for people who want a challenge and want to be a part of our business growth.”
The event is taking place at The Angel Hotel in Cardiff. For further information email: resourcing@skanska.co.uk
