Sky High rebrands to Tracsis

Transport data collection specialist Sky High Technology has adopted the name of its parent group Tracsis plc.

Sky High was founded in Leeds in 1989 and has grown from one small team using video systems for traffic surveys to now employing more than 170 permanent staff to deliver data collection projects to a wide range of sectors from their seven offices across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

The company has also expanded into Australia and in 2013 Sky High plc and its trading companies were acquired by Tracsis plc, a rail industry software, consultancy and condition monitoring specialists which started out at Leeds University.

The company says that apart from being known as Tracsis, all other elements of the business remain unchanged.

The company says it will continue to expand the range of services and geographical areas covered with a new presence in mainland Europe, expanded software and data systems capabilities and the addition of mobile phone network data as a source of traffic and travel data never before available to its client base.
