North East traffic management company Hatton Traffic Management is extending its services as it aims to drive significant growth over the coming year.
Having successfully completed the National Highways Sector Scheme 2B Certification for the design, supply, installation, maintenance and repair of vehicle restraint systems (VRS), Hatton is one of only a limited number of traffic management firms across the UK offering a comprehensive service for both temporary and permanent VRS.
The service includes the installation and maintenance of VRS, crash barriers and containment systems, advance foundation testing, emergency VRS reports, re-tensioning and inspections of existing VRS fences, including the provision of detailed condition reports.

The introduction of the VRS installation and maintenance service will not only provide our clients with an additional and valuable service, but it will also see us strengthen our position in the industry and open up opportunities for us to work within new markets.

The news comes only months after the company launched a number of new services, including permanent sign supply and installation, mobile elevated work platform services and equipment hire and sales. Hatton has also recently opened two new depots based in Warrington in the North West and Wigton in Cumbria – extending its reach across the UK and generating local employment opportunities for people living in and around the areas close to the two depots.
The openings follow Hatton’s appointment to Cumbria County Council’s Traffic Management Framework, estimated to be worth £1m – £1.5m over four years.
The firm is also supporting event organisers across the UK to instigate protection systems for the threat of hostile vehicles entering public areas.
